What an incredible year it has been! We’re thrilled that we’ve surpassed the amazing $1,000,000 milestone in money raised during the Sunshine Poker Tournament in February 2025. We also hosted charity tournaments for the Hellenic Centre of Ottawa in May and the Ottawa Cancer Foundation in June and October.

​Established in 2010 to celebrate the memory of our cherished "Sunshine", we take great pride in the community support that has allowed us to host Ottawa's largest charity poker tournament. We cover all the costs in order to be 100% efficient. Our family group of volunteers has helped various causes and over $400,000 has been awarded to players! Our primary beneficiary is the Ottawa Hospital but we've made contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ottawa Cancer Foundation, helped build a school in Haiti, provided books and supplies to children in Lebanon and helped to start farms in Africa; Truly a global impact.​ Special thanks to the Ottawa Hospital for honouring our foundation with the dedication of the Najah Ayoub Patient Consultation Room and announcing the dedication of a patient room in the new Civic campus.
